December 21, 2012: The End Of The World!

WHAT!!!! as in WHAT!!! Lumaki ang butas ng ilong ko at lumuwa ang beautiful eyes ko ng narinig ko ang bagong chuvaness na ito. End of the world na daw sa December 21, 2012, that is approximately 4 years and 5 months from now. Bakit ba kailangang December 21 mag-e-end and world wide earth, sayang birthday pa naman ng good ol’ friend ko ang date na iyon. Madami yun maghanda at malakas magpa-inom, paano na ang balde-baldeng San Mig Lights sa December 21, 2012 kung end of the world na pala ang araw na iyon. Hindi ba pwedeng August 3 nalang ang end of the world, para hindi na kailangang maghanda ng iyong beautiful lola sa kanyang birthday at wala nang mangulit ng pa-blowout. Di ko alam kung sinong manghuhula ang nag-predict ng chuvaness na yan pero I’m sure hindi si Madam Auring, kasi busy si Madam sa kanyang nangangasim na love life at pagpaparetoke ng kanyang fully overhauled face. Well, binisita ko ang kanilang official website, yes, katambay mayron silang official website (bongacious ang layout) para basahin ang kanilang explanation regarding this phenomena. Bongga at super deep impact ang explanation, may scientific basis at biblical quotations pa, may kasama pang chuvaness ek-ek about Mayan calendar at computation whatever na naka video at uploaded sa YouTube. And take note meron pang mga celebrity endorsers, including my ex na si Papa Tom Cruise. Well, isa lang masasabi ko about the explanations and all the chuva regarding the December 21, 2012 end of the world chu-chu. HINDI KAYO DIYOS!!!

Just for the sake of argument, paano kaya kung end of the world na nga sa December 21, 2012. Ano gagawin mo? If you would ask me, first thing na gagawin ko magpo-post ako ng blog na wanted husband, ipa-advertise ko sa adsense, mag-upload ako ng video sa YouTube na wanted husband because, goodness, gracious for god sake I don’t want to die a virgin at gusto kung makita ang salinlahi ko bago magunaw ang mundo. Second thing, magku-quit ako sa bago kung course na Master of Science in Netsurfing Major in Blogging minor in Friendster at ibenta ang lahat ng aking properties (as if may properties) including my battered ASUS laptop, my MP4 with broken LCD crystal, my Jurassic model (but maasahan all the time) na cellphone Sony Ericsson K300i (the homing cellphone edition) kasama of course ang charger, my 3-year old 1G flash drive, my hundreds collection of books and pocketbooks (hardbound & paperback), ang aking 3-dipang lupa na pamana sa akin ng aking beloved fatherhood. All of the revenues will be allocated for my Disneyland trip. Kasi hindi ako papayag na mamatay na hindi nakapunta sa Disneyland, no way, I have to see the Disneyland before I would die. Teka, wait, pwede kayang isangla ang transcript of records ko na tadtad ng INC at 3.0 (at least walang failure grade)? At yung medal ko ng nag-champion ako sa Freecell at Solitaire challenge? Pang-allowance lang papuntang Disneyland.

Seriously speaking, hindi naman talaga importante yung date kung kelan mag-e-end ang mundo. If the world would end, then it would come whether we like it or not or we knew or not. What’s really more important is our readiness if that time comes. Are we ready to face our creator if the world will end 30 seconds from now? Or maybe tomorrow or in 2012 or in 5012? Of when the world would end is not the question, because it could come anytime, in the most unexpected moment. But rather we have to focus on the question “ARE YOU READY?”
